Another Groundswell protest

I’ve been to so many protests in the last three years, I’ve lost count.
But it struck me at this one, that it’s become almost a social event for me, in that I end catching up with the same people I have been protesting with, these last few years.

It was never meant to be like this, but it’s nice to be around like minded people who care as much as I do about the same issues.

And so it was with the latest Groundswell protest against unworkable regulations for farmers

I met up with them for a BBQ and a ‘regulation burning ceremony’ in South Auckland.

It was notable this time that several career politicians had come out of the woodwork to attend.

(I’m sure this has nothing to do with an election in a few weeks time).

Groundswell continued their tractor convoy up into Auckland the next day, where they were supported by VFF (Voices For Freedom) as they drove up the motorway to their final destination.

The main event in Ellerslie went well by all accounts, hopefully, we will see some positive change as a result.

    1. Thank you for the kind comment. Unfortunately the election is mostly just a distraction because what really needs to happen is a change in our culture to one that encourages critical thinking and self responsibility.
