It’s notable that after the Wellington anti-mandate protest and the mandates been dropped, that the freedom movement started disintegrating and fighting amongst themselves.
Some of them accused others of been ‘controlled opposition’ or similar.
Some of the more militant ones thought everyone else was not as dedicated as they were.
Personally I think a lot this has occurred because we were all very different people with different idea’s fighting a common cause, but now that the pressure is off, we have started to become critical of each other.
In general, the freedom crowd are made up of alternative health followers, the deeply religious , the naturally sceptical, etc.
The extrordinary thing about them is that they were right about covid, when every one else either ‘just went along with it’ or believed everything the TV told them without question.
A meme from 2020
The article below is shared from NZDSOS and shows the paranoia that affects some people.
I think tolerance is whats missing here, and acceptance of the fact that we all had different ways of resisting the covid hysteria. No one method was nessessarily better than another.
It’s counterproductive to get in each others way, because we all want the same outcome, don’t we?
Right now, the official Covid-19 Inquiry is being “reviewed”.
But do you trust them to do it properly?
We certainly don’t!
There is a huge opportunity here if we act now and play it right.
This is because, for the next two weeks, NZ’s Royal Commission is asking for public feedback on the scope of the Inquiry (time is ticking).
As of today, the scope is woefully inadequate, giving them free rein to conclude whatever they want, completely escaping any accountability.
Are You Willing To Let This Happen?
The scope of the current COVID-19 Inquiry is narrow and restrictive, seeking only to ‘learn lessons’ and not find fault. (Vaccine safety is ignored and efficacy is explicitly excluded!)
The People’s Terms, on the other hand, is a comprehensive and targeted set of terms that fundamentally redefines how the inquiry should operate and what will be reviewed, including the removal and replacement of Commissioners Blakley and Whitehead.
With personal accountability and liability as the focus, no rock will be left unturned.
We also need to generate overwhelming support for these terms so that they have the best chance of being accepted by the new coalition government.
The fact is,
Public Pressure DOES WORK, When It Is Overwhelming.
With enough support, they could have just cause to scrap the current inquiry and start again 🙂
So we must all together demand that an independent, full-scale, wide-ranging public inquiry into NZ’s Covid response be undertaken. Without one, there will be nothing to stop future government abuse of your fundamental human rights again.
So, if you suffered during the Covid years, now is your one and only chance to do something about it.
Let’s create enormous pressure together and support those in government calling to scrap the current inquiry so that we can start again. We need to show them how many people want it done properly.
