I dont think there are many people here who fondly remember 2023. The only notable highpoint is a change of Government, which is yet (if ever) to make any substantial changes for the good….
One of the fallacies thats quite common is the thoery that a change of Government will fix everything, and suddenly everything will be OK. -just like in the movies.
But life is not a movie, it doesn’t always have a happy ending, and problems aren’t found and fixed within the short timeframe that the movie is on.
Life is ongoing.
The solutions to NZ’s problems are within everyone on an individual basis.
Those solutions are to stand on your own feet, think rationally, stop been gaslighted, and think locally rather than globally. (I could add to this list, but I’m sure you get the point)
I think 2024 is going to be a year of uncertainty for most people. The trick for me is to navigate these uncertain times for my family and I and get to where we want to go.
Thats going to mean avoiding having to rely on people that wont or cant make decisions -I haven’t got time.
We all have a limited time on earth -dont waste it.
