Introducing a series of podcasts about thoughtfully thinking ahead.

The covid years have been challenging times for us and our friends, but those times are now hopefully kind of behind us.
It was rather crazy here in NZ, and covid was used as a distraction to advance other agenda’s from the WEF among others.

That leaves us with a few questions that need answers.

What / Who do we need to be aware of?
What else do we need to consider?
Whats the way forward?

To that end, some answers are found in a series of thought provoking podcasts via Considered Opinions

So from now on, I’ll be sharing their podcasts.

Their synopsis..

Day two on holiday – Skiing at Cadrona

Cadrona from the top of a chairlift

My youngest daughter and I, went up there for a day’s skiing / snowboarding.
We must have looked totally lost or something (we were), because a helpful staff member guided us through hiring all the gear, which made for a pleasant experience.
The queue for rental ski’s was long, while my queue for a snowboard was short, making for a frustrated daughter (patience isn’t her thing), while I waited, -patiently.
We made our way to the learners slope’s and quickly worked out that my snowboard was too big, and daughters ski’s were too small.
Once we had these sorted out, it all just came together like magic and I even managed to encourage dear daughter to hit the slopes on her own, and take a chairlift to the top.
It was an important step, because I want her to make her own way in life, besides that, she’s quite fast on ski’s and I don’t want to hold her up.
In the end she did 10 runs down the slopes to my 2.

Cadrona is much bigger than the artificial skifield in Auckland (Snowplant) we used all the time.
This meant much longer ski runs which is brilliant for getting into the groove of things.

It turns out, I’ve been using far too big a snowboard all this time. I felt almost ‘as one’ with a smaller one (a 150cm), rather than been a passenger on a snowboard with a mind of it’s own.

Anyway, the result of the day was one tired, but happy, confident daughter.
