Death, Daughters & Kiddie Rides: A Lesson
Ever have one of those days when nothing seems to go well? Today was that day for me!
It started with Mum and Daughter quarreling in the car all the way to the indoor ski place.
This sort of put me in the wrong frame of mind.
Then the snowboard (size 163cm) I was given was way too big for me which meant a distinct lack of control.
The next board (156cm) was much better, but only after I sorted out an issue where I couldn’t get the boot straps tight! I had several runs down the slopes before I realised it was why I couldn’t make a turn without landing on my butt.
By the time I sorted all these issues out, our 2 hours was just about up!
On the plus side, my daughter had a wonderful carefree time and has started skiing without the ski poles.
P.S. And the food was premo!
