David Seymour (ACT party) throws his toys out of the cot

It’s election year in New Zealand. It’s a time when politicians come out of the woodwork and start kissing babies left, right and center…

However, the leader of the ACT party, (David Seymour) who say they stand for freedom, never actually did when it came to the mandates and lockdowns.

ACT’s response to this is to pretend the last three years never happened. When you nearly lost your job, and your kids got booted out of sports teams and music bands, as happened to me, it’s not something that you will forget.

The video below is of David Seymour campaigning in Epsom, Auckland, where he is their MP.

Now ask yourself, what would an innocent member of the audience think?

When Worlds Collide

NZ’s politicians are currently trying to avoid any acknowledgement of any covid jab injuries or deaths. The statistics are very clear though. Excess deaths from whatever cause is currently 18% higher than normal over a five year average.

We have arrived at a point in an election year when our votes matter, so expect some surprising replies to our emails and even some answers to our questions, but if today was anything to go by, it won’t be without fireworks. Yesterday, I fact checked David Seymour, who, in his Radio Check Radio interview, had asserted…

When Worlds Collide

For reference, Australia has had a similar outcome with 18% excess mortality.

An update of sorts, moving on from covid

The covid ‘pandemic’ is basically over, except for the faithful few.

I’ve always been expecting Joe public to wake up to the fact that maybe they have been ‘had’. It’s taken me a while to realise that the big wake up isn’t going to happen, and this may be a blessing in disguise. If they ever wake up, they might realise that,

If they ‘woke up’ to these facts, perhaps they might be just a little bit pissed off about whats been happening for the last three years.
The last thing we need is lots of angry people out there.

Perhaps, therefore, having everyone asleep is a good thing, except that New Zealand has gone dramatically backwards in the last few years.

The government is likely to be re-elected later this year.
It’s not an ideal outcome for the good of the country, but if the majority are happy about where NZ’s going, so be it.

It does illustrate that politics can't fix NZ's problems. A possible answer lies in changing the NZ's culture towards one of accountibility and self responsibility.

It’s rather a bit like been on the Titanic and the other passengers aren’t concerned about any predicaments. Part of me thinks I should be concerned on their behalf, another part of me thinks I have no obligation to them. Therefore, I’m simply going to think and act locally only.

Hopefully this will be the last post I need to do on covid, since even the WHO has decided the pandemic is over
