A Nation Divided and Misinformed Cannot Progress. It is Time for Scientists to Set the Record Straight

Shared from the Hatchard report.. https://hatchardreport.com/a-nation-divided-and-misinformed-cannot-progress-it-is-time-for-scientists-to-set-the-record-straight/

On March 29, 2021, Dr. Rochelle Walensky, then Director of the US CDC, reassured the American public and the world on MSNBC “Vaccinated people do not carry the virus, and don’t get sick.” She was lying.

Emails obtained under a freedom of information request show that as early as January 30, 2021, soon after the vaccine rollout began, she was fully aware that vaccinated people were getting sick with Covid. At the time, she was referring to these as ‘breakout infections’ in her private correspondence.

So why do people in authority like Walensky blatantly lie to the public? After all, she is not alone, we have a whole host of public figures in New Zealand who similarly feel unconstrained by the truth.

In July 2021, I was invited to participate in Covid-19 discussions with New Zealand experts. As a result, I wrote dozens of detailed emails sounding the alarm about vaccine safety and efficacy to many prominent Government advisers, all of whose names have featured prominently in the media. I received the following replies, among others. Without exception, to a significant extent, they sympathised with my concerns based on the scientific references I submitted:

“…the vaccines are only in their first iteration. Israel is effectively Pfizer’s real life laboratory…” and my comment: by inference NZ was also being subjected to an experiment, we were known to be lab rats.

And

“…..We are like lemmings walking towards and off the cliff – it seems very dire for anyone with kids and hoping for their future.”

And

“you are right that studies have also shown that high vaccine coverage will not…contain outbreaks.”

And

“I share your concerns about long-term effects of Covid-19 and the need to consider these.”

And

“…the uncertainties are large. I agree about the importance of trying to keep an open, evidence-informed debate about future options.”

And

“Our knowledge base is incomplete and will continue to be incomplete as the virus evolves”

And

“I think you may be right that opportunities should be taken to promote preventive health measures”

I have to presume that our government received similarly cautious advice. Certainly, the Skegg Committee report to parliament recommended frequent review of the outcomes of Covid response and newly published papers. So why didn’t the government undertake reviews? Why did they close the door on myself and others who were asking questions? Why did they order social media to cancel open debate?

Why Are None of These Privately Cautious Scientists Speaking Up Publicly Now?

Why did Ardern, Hipkins, Bloomfield, and Verrall tell the public mRNA vaccines were completely safe and effective, contrary to the cautious advice of their experts? Why did they institute coercive mandates resulting in loss of employment and schooling? Why did they tell the technocrats and bureaucrats in the health service to switch into high gear and deny the existence of mRNA adverse effects? Why did they institute saturation advertising and paid media coverage promoting ideas they knew to be false?

More to the point, why are government ministers still doing it? Dr Ayesha Verrall, our Minister of Health, still has a pinned tweet on her Twitter feed (a pinned tweet is the first you will always see) originally posted May 10, 2020 saying:

If you read scientific papers, you will realise that Sweden, who avoided lockdowns, did get a lot right. A literature review and meta analysis of 32 studies in July 2022 found that lockdowns in 2020 had little to no effect on Covid mortality around the world. As a result, Sweden’s no lockdown policy resulted in better economic outcomes and better educational outcomes. Crucially prestigious Pew Research concludes that the Swedes emerged from the pandemic a more united society as a result.

So New Zealand will not be awarding Nobel prizes for medicine anytime soon, but our health minister still wants us to BELIEVE contrary to the evidence.

It is hard to escape the notion that Ardern was a person with fanatical beliefs who changed who we are as a nation for the worse, dividing us along false lines.

Ardern ignored scientific advice, she used PR tools and coercion to enforce her own opinions against the cautious tone of her advisors. She aligned herself not with the New Zealand people but with overseas commercial interests and avowed globalists. In this, incredibly, she received the support of all parties and politicians.

It is hard to say anything new about this sorry situation except to ask how can we reunite as a nation? I have received private letters from some in our scientific community thanking me for speaking up, but now can you also please speak up publicly? Perhaps you were coerced into towing the government line as many were, but now the damage has to be repaired. We have become a polarised nation. No nation divided and misinformed can progress. Covid policies and mRNA vaccines have left us sick, dispirited, ignorant of facts, and poor. It is time to do the right thing and set the record straight.

Who’s getting your vote for Freedom in the 2023 NZ elections?

All of the MPs in Parliament refused to even talk to the Wellington anti mandate protesters, even thou 30% of the population supported them..

https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/politics/127808790/parliament-protest-new-poll-shows-30-per-cent-of-kiwis-support-antimandate-protest

I mention that in order to illustrate that politic’s are not a solution to the problems in New Zealand. (There has to be a change in the culture).

The most freedom thinking of those parties in parliament is the ACT party (I supported them at the 2020 elections)

ACT apparently stood for low flat tax, private schools, Freedom of speech, and personal responsibility, at least that’s what their advertising said in 2020.

ACT advertising from 2020

In 2021, about a year later, I was with a ‘Freedom and Rights Coalition’ event, protesting for freedom…

The following is my experiences with the ACT party, but it could easily apply to any main stream political party.

The leader of the ACT party, David Seymour is first and foremost a salesman, he’s going to tell you what he thinks you want to hear.

image from https://www.parliament.nz/media/2066/seymour-david.DmxLmA.jpg

He might actually privately believe in freedom and I’ve heard some very good stuff from ACT party members in the past, but pragmatism and staying in Parliament overrides any idealism.

In 2020, He ran a very successful election campaign and went from just one MP to 10 MP’s.

ACT theory on politics is Canadian based -David Seymour lived there at one point and it seems their candidates go thru a ‘school of politics’ training program within the ACT party.

Politics according to ACT is largely a game. It’s likened to three people deciding how to spend $2. Any of the two can form a majority and screw over the third. You can’t predict which two will do this.

The key to winning for them, is to get a bigger % of voters for a better chance of been in government, therefore ACT targets disaffected groups to get those  %’s up.

The gun lobby crowd was one of these disaffected groups after the Christchurch massacre. (ACT did nothing for them, once they got their vote, and probably never intended to.)

When campaigning for the election, they concentrate their efforts on persuadable people only. There is no point talking to a hard-line opposing party member -you will just make them angry and then they work against you.

ACT are mostly after the Party vote.

Only David Seymour goes for the candidate vote. David has always won the Epsom seat  because ACT’s core philosophies are a natural fit for the people in the area. Other parties have thrown huge resources into removing David to no avail in the past.

Any other ACT candidate who goes for the candidate vote risks splitting the vote and letting the Labour candidate win. It also pisses off the National party, who is their only natural coalition partner.

In theory, people vote for policies, but actually they don’t. They vote for who gives them a good vibe.

Feelings not policies, drive voters.

Which basically means they don’t nessessarilly have an opinion based of facts  on where the countries going or anything…

To summarise the situation…

Please bear in mind that politics will not solve the problems NZ has now, we need to change it’s culture.
Also, don’t expect a magical charismatic person to turn up and fix everything -that only happens in the movies.

Freedom Options are

New Conservative Party

also on Facebook (27,000 followers)

-Basic Christian values, they are a christian community that happens to have a political arm.

– Their policies are basically a ‘feel good’ word salad, so it’s hard to work out their policies

-Leighton Baker was a former leader who was arrested at the Wellington protest (I see this as a complement)

Vision Party

-Hannah Tamaki’s party

-Christian values

Democracy NZ

Their leader is Matt King who left the National party over the mandates.

He needs to win his seat or get 5% of the party vote.

Their Climate Policy is compromised in order to get the cities on-board (Matt admitted this at a recent meeting)

It’s not likely he will join any Umbrella party.

New Nation party

-I haven’t heard much about them until I researched them on Facebook.

-They have straightup no nonsense policies that don’t beat around the bush.

-They recently left the ‘Umbrella’ party (explained below) for some reason.

NZ Outdoors and Freedom party      https://outdoorsparty.co.nz/

-Sue Grey , the well known lawyer was a co-leader.

Yes-Aotearoa party

Appears to be some sort of ‘feel good’ party going by their policies, likely to believe in Co-Governance.

————————————–

The candidate vote will be a waste of time in most electorates, because any well known incumbent is likely to win.

The party vote will be very important, as we need at least 5% to get any representation.

Umbrella parties

Several of the smaller parties are going to ‘pool’ their party vote into one group which gives them a much greater chance of getting the all important 5% of the PARTY vote.

FreedomsNZ umbrella party

The following parties are part of the freedoms NZ Umbrella party.

  • Vision Party
  • NZ Outdoors and Freedom party
  • Yes Aotearoa Party

Post script

I should point out not all the candidates in the last election were soulless people

There were broadly two types of candidates

Those who want to win….

Labour candidate -team of 5 million ra,ra ra

National’s candidate -vote for me and I’ll spend lots of money on roads or something..

Green candidate -can’t honestly remember what they said, but it had a feel good vibe to it…

Those who have something to say….

Outdoors Party, NZ conservative, Advance NZ, etc

These candidates typically speak with conviction, passion and sincerity, and tell us us why they were standing. They tended to be ‘salt of the earth’ types.

Some reminders as to why it’s important to vote…

NZ’s shameful heavy handedness in Tokelau

The Tokelau islands is a dependent_territory of New Zealand. The NZ administrator during the covid years was Ross Adern (Jacinda Adern’s father), a former police officer who was known for been rather heavy handed.

The Tokelau islands are three remote Pacific islands which don’t have an airport. It is a 24hr boat trip from Samoa to get there.

Below is a link to an interview with Mahelino Patelesio, who along with his family were under house arrest for over 13 month’s for not getting vaccinated.

The interview can be hard to listen to, as Mahelino sounds reluctant to talk about his experiences -thats understandable, given what they have been through, because when you talk about it, you are reliving it.
His wife was suffering with mental illness before the house arrest was ‘ended’ because of a threat of legal action on their behalf. Even then, the island council tried to shame them in public.
