Tuesday

I went to another protest on Tuesday. It turned out to be quite small, but then again, there were at least 2 other protests going on in Auckland at the same time. I think the protests around Auckland were smaller but more numerous because it was a work day and also that the police have been arresting organisers to take then out of the picture.

The anger is still out there, so the protests now tend to be more spontanous.

The major protest by far on Tuesday was outside parliament in Wellington. Accurate numbers are hard to come by, but it seems to have been about 10,000 to 15,000 people.
It’s notable that the media was harrassed by the crowd, as they are now seen as part of the problem with all the scaremongering they have done on behalf of the Government. (the government had paid them $55 million, but only if they meet certain ‘conditions’)

No members of parliament spoke to the assembled crowd. The reason given was “security issues”. To give you an idea how pathetic the excuse is -the organisations involved were….

Freedoms | The Freedoms & Rights Coalition (tfrc.org.nz) -This is run by a christian church with Brian Tamaki as it’s leader.

Destiny Church Auckland | Destiny Church -Brian Tamaki’s church

Voices for Freedom -This was founded by 3 women. They represent mostly nurses, teachers, midwives, etc in their battle against mandatory vaccines.

This day was significant because any nurses, teachers, midwives, etc, who aren’t vaccinated are going to lose their jobs, and these people made up the bulk of the demonstrators.

Wednesday and Thursday

The media and the government had been ignoring any protest’s so far, until Tuesday when the big demostration in Wellington caught them off guard.

Since then, various politians have been ‘revising’ what they have previously said on various issues, and ducking and diving. The media has been running with various narratives eg,-They were ‘domestic terrorists’ who ‘might’ have been armed.

These are known as ‘false flag’ operations and there were several attempts to regain and control the narrative throughout the week.

Friday 2PM was the deadline for the protestors demands to be met.

Saturday arrived with nothing substantial from the Government apart from alluding to bad consequences.

It happened to be raining, and my daughters tennis got postponed, This meant we could all go to the great gridlock instead. The plan was to drive slowly on Aucklands motorways in a big block. There were so many of us, that we ended up in various blocks.

We had organised to lockup the motorway in both directions, which meant there was a sort of carnival atmosphere when we passed other demonstraters going the other way. It was a real cool atmosphere, and the kids were in the back making signs and putting them against the windows. It was raining quite heavy at times, and I was so caught up in the moment, I forgot to get some decent pictures….
