I think the answer to that is both yes and no at the same time..
Yes, covid is over and most people would rather just forget, rather than relive bad memories.
No, because the covid scamdemic was used by some as an exercise to make a lot of money, and most people just went along with it, rather than be unpleasant.
That mentality points to a cultural problem with the average Kiwi.
They are easily gaslit by the media, which can lead to been manipulated by unsavoury types of people..
It could all happen again with bird flu if the public are still that gullible.
