Our beloved cat Abie is a little treasure. The kids adore her and she’s good at catching mice, rats and rabbits. We know this because we normally find the remains somewhere.
But lately she’s started merely playing with her food instead..
And so it happened one sleepy sunday afternoon, where I’m having a snooze on the couch, only to be awakened by the pitter-patter of unfamiliar feet.
Abie had brought a young rabbit inside and let it go..

Poor little scared thing. We had a cat that would bring in live rabbits also. When we’d try to catch them, to let them go outside, they’d scream like woman. One died of fright. I hope you thanked your cat for the “service” he did for you.
