Over several days, ten little ducklings have arrived.
Mother was very protective at first and kept them hidden under her wings for a few days
A week later and she’s strolling around with them, exploring there surroundings.
They are growing at a rapid pace and getting very adventurous.
We have discovered that our duck proof fence isn’t duckling proof, so they tend to take off on adventures without mother.
Interestingly, our cats worked out to leave mother and her ducklings alone, probably because mum can go ‘off’ (psycho) real quick.

Those are beautiful little ducklings. I’ll bet it’s fun to watch them.

Thanks, they do something different everyday.
A few days ago, they ran away from us towards mum, now they run towards us because we might have food..

Mama duck had quite a large brood of ducklings. They’re too cute to eat. 🙂
