Sometimes you just meet weird people

I’ve been a bit stressed out recently, because I thought that a female stalker from my distant past ( 1986 ) had surfaced again.

I now know it’s a new female stalker thats come from out of the blue.

Initially, I had no idea where or who this person was. But it appears she had been watching me for sometime, because she setup a meeting for ‘us’ at a cafe I use.

It looks like she originally spotted me in a meeting at work and decided ‘Thats what I want’

It’s just bizarre because I have never spoken or interacted with this person in any way.

I’ve made it very clear through management and EAP services that her attentions are not welcome, so that should be the end of it.

For the record, I have been married for 21 years and have two children. Obviously, I’ve kept my wife up to date with all this.

So for now, I’m just relieved that it’s all sorted out, and I now know where this new stalker is located, so I can just avoid any entanglements in future.

For the guys wondering what these stalker’s look like, both of mine them rarely smile, serious, determined, and strut around like the terminator. I tend to think you would get more affection from patting a stray cat.

I do know from analysis that my original stalker from 1986 is probably a covert narcissist. I don’t know the personality of the new one, so I dont know what drives her, I’m guessing just a lack of social skills, and that I represent something ideal.

I now wonder if I somehow attract these sorts of people, which leads me to ask -Why?

With narcissist’s, it’s a power thing, perhaps they assume I am quite vunerable/ naive/ defenceless, and somehow easy to isolate.

There are many answers, and it’s actually not about me, it’s about them in the end.

I think the way forward for me is to set some boundaries, not yeild to them, and ignore them. That last bit is the hardest, because here I am writing about it….

I’ve found that narcissist’s in particular, have empty lives, and they are generally miserable, but they have created that themselves, and you can’t help them, because they then just take advantage of you.
