Now that we have the chickens sorted out, we have added a few ducks..
Meet Sir Quacks Alot, Victoria, and Josephine.
They are far more placid than chickens, and a lot easier to look after -they eat just about anything.

Do you eat their eggs? My daughter’s family has chickens, and they’re always getting eaten by predators. 🐣🦅

We haven’t got a predator problem, partly because the chickens are in a wire netting enclosure at night, and our cat is good at predator patrol. We get about 4 eggs a day out of six chickens.
Regarding predators, it may be worth getting a goose, because they will sound the alarm and quite possibly attack the intruder.
Our ducks should start producing eggs before Xmas, but we really want little ducklings, so we wont be eating any duck eggs.
