Busy, just busy.
Covids not a thing here anymore and most people have just moved on.
The kids are getting older, and somehow in the last few months my oldest has really found her wings and the condfidence to be independent.
I had booked some of the school holidays to spend with them, only to find they had already committed themselves to part time work and other stuff.
I dont mind this, rather, I find it pleasing that they are finding their independence, which relegates me to the position of ‘Reserve support if everything turns to crap’
My oldest is 18 and my youngest is 16, so it looks like we are slowly moving into ’empty nester’ mode.

Good luck during the transition that will be here before you know it. 🙂

You may have plenty of time. These days nests don’t seem to get empty until kids are in their late 20s.

If they are still at home in their late twenties, I’m either spoiling them rotten, or I’ve failed to give them the confidence to stand on their own feet.
