Job Jitters

The company I work for has had a change of management -out went the pragmatic ones with a high level of emotional IQ (EQ).

In came the new ones who are purily academic office types with no practical skills, and a lack of acknowledgement or respect for years of experience amongst the existing staff.

Then our manager went away on holiday, and as they say ‘when the cats away, the mice will play’

An incident was blown all out of proportion, and they were then busy constructing a narrative to frame their favoured scrapgoat
It all went away miraculously when our manager reappeared.

(It seems they realised they didn’t have enough on him to guarantee a win).

This is how it generally plays out in a toxic company. politics, rather than ability decides your fate.
If your a pragmatic sort of person who just likes to do a good job and go home, this sort of thing is highly annoying, as you end up having to cover your ass (CYA), and second guess crappy peoples intentions all the time.

The best solution to this predicament is just to get the hell out of there, before it starts getting you down.,

It’s ideal though, to treat finding your next job as an opportunity, rather than a means of escape from something negative.

Motto -Always pick the deep blue sea over the devil.
