A devout christian who I know well had the following story.
A bit of background before his story. He works as a freelance contractor. His work has mostly dried up in the last two years because he chose not to get vaccinated and doesn’t believe in mask’s. He has a wife and 3 young children. Money is a bit short, but he never complains. He is very true to himself, and consistantly holds himself to a very standard of integrity.
His story..
His old company sent him an email to offer him some work. It stated that he would need to wear a mask and have a PCR test at work each day, which must be negative.
He reluntantly wrote back and turned the job down
Another email arrives . They really need him. Just declare that you had a PCR test at home and that it was negative,
and it’s OK not to wear a mask.
He reluntantly writes back, no, I don’t believe in PCR tests, and I wont lie.
It goes up a level in the company to the CEO, and back down again.
An other email, All you would need to do is declare that the result was negative. (It seems they rewrote the form to make it less of a lie if he writes ‘negative’
He reluntantly took the job, but he wasn’t happy about it, as he feels feels he has compromised his integrity & honesty.
It’s been two years since he worked for this company and he knows most of the staff very well. In the end, almost no-one was wearing a mask, apart from one really paranoid young lady.
He told us his story at a recent gathering of likeminded individuals, I think in part to help cleanse his soul. We unamiously told him it was OK, and not to beat himself up.
I’ve recently had a similar experience myself. It’s like you are expected to lie in some way, like it’s no big thing.
